A police officer from Florida was dragged twice by a driver during routine traffic stop. The video of the incident gone viral. Videos shows, Seminole County Sheriff’s Deputy ‘Aaron Blais’ initially joked with suspect ‘Rocky Rudolph Jr.’, 38, after pulling him over for illegal window tints in Heathrow on Saturday.

“How’s it going this morning, bro?” Rudolph asked with a smile, the officer replied, “Living the dream.”

Meanwhile, deputy smelled marijuana and asked Rudolph to turn the car off. That’s when the traffic stop turned in to ugly crime scene. The suspect became highly agitated and at one point yelling and scream. He put the car in drive with the deputy attached with the window.

After the patrol officer was dragged at least 20 feet, he pulled out his gun and aimed at Rudolph.  “Put your hands up! Put your f***ing hands up!” he said. Rudolph claimed, ‘I didn’t do anything,’ but then tried to fled away again. The Sheriff fired his gun, hitting Rudolph in the leg. Then deputy was thrown off from the car just before it drove onto the highway. The incident was captured both on the deputy’s body camera and Rudolph vehicle’s dashboard camera.

Identified as ROCKY M RUDOLPH JR of Apopka.

Rudolph tried to outrun the police on foot after losing control of the car. He was captured after eight hours chase and is now facing charges of ‘Attempted murder of a law enforcement Officer.’

Sheriff Lemma said, “This was a very dangerous situation. Our deputy could have been killed. Was dragged towards I-4. Suspect in custody facing charges of attempted murder of LEO.”
Rudolph has a history of escaping from law enforcement and has been charged with 32 felonies in the past several years.
