The World Heritage Committee has been meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan to decide which wonders should be added to world heritage Sites. UNESCO World Incredible Heritage Sites 2019 dotted over the world on every landmass except Antarctica. Most are on the record because of their cultural importance. From temples and pyramids to mountains and glaciers, these World Heritage Sites should be on every photographer’s and travelers bucket list.

We’re not bragging these places aren’t already popular, but once they become official UNESCO World Heritage sites, tourism is going to increase like never before.

Mont Saint-Michel, France- Best Incredible Heritage Sites for 2019

The quest for a reflection! That’s what any tour to photograph one of France’s most iconic sites is all about. On an island just off the northwestern coast of Normandy, there is a path that links it to the mainland. Note that it’s therefore rarely besieged by water; that appears only during spring tides 36 to 48 hours after the full and new moons. It’s got the giant tides in continental Europe, so be careful.

Memphis and its Necropolis, Egypt

What about the pyramids? The UNESCO World Heritage Site called Memphis and its Necropolis includes all the funerary statues in the Pyramid Fields at Giza, including the Sphinx. Probably the most iconic of all UNESCO’s listed structures, the main one is the Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as Khufu, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the World. Close by are the two other pyramids, Khafre and Menkaure. They’re right on the corner of Cairo, so one possibility is to seize their urban setting, which most visitors try to neglect.

Taj Mahal, India

As with many UNESCO sites, there’s a superior shot at the Taj Mahal that everyone goes for; the straight-on shot with the Taj mirrored in its pond. So why not go for that? It’s monotonous, that’s why, and with just a little effort you can take something a lot more artistic. Go to the black marble ‘Black Taj’ on the counter side of the riverbank to get another unique angle on the Taj.

Machu Picchu, Peru- Best Incredible Heritage Sites for 2019

The lost city of the Incas is now one of the world’s most bustling tourist honeypot sites. There are few more magnificent sights than the collapsing citadel hung over the mountain ridge with the Huayna/Wayna Picchu top in the background. It requires some serious effort, but the best way of getting in before the tourists’ gatherings is to hike the Inca Trail, which will guarantee you enter at the Sun Gate before sunrise.

Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina

Those envying to investigate a little deeper into South America that Machu Picchu will find some real gems, one of which is Los Glaciares National Park in Argentinian Patagonia. Home to some truly extensive glaciers, possibly, the best known is Perito Moreno, whose climatic icefalls into the waiting Lake Argentino are an iconic spectacle. The 37-mile-long Upsala Glacier might need a wide-angle lens, while the sight of Mount Fitz Roy’s rough peak above the mountain town of El Chaltén is another exciting view.

Easter Island, Chile

This isolated island in the South Pacific has a fascination all its own. The island’s huge stone monoliths, known as Moai, face inland from every bank and are said to gaze at the stars. As well as 887 Moai, which are gathered in small groups on conventional platforms known as Ahu. They’re the last surviving proof of the indigenous Rapa Nui culture, which died to deforestation, civil war, and raids by slave ships and disease. Their importance is unknown, but they look fabulous in close-up, in profile, classified, and plunged on the ground.
