There’s something dignified about the bald eagle. Maybe it’s the tone that it flies instead of folds its wings or the fact that it’s the only kind of eagle different to North America. It’s also been the symbol of America since June 20, 1782. For all these causes and more, a rescue team in Florida worked hard to free birds. Two bald eagles are rescued after they trapped in a drain.

The incident happened just two days after the 2016 presidential election of the US. Spectators have been calling it a metaphor for the current state of the US.

The incident perfectly encapsulates the country’s mood.” One of the Twitter users said, “A bald eagle flying into a sewerage drain, two days after Trump’s election is a little too on the nose. God is a hack.” Some people even declared the rescue “staged,” saying that it was “too on the head” to be true.

At last, one eagle succeeded to cut free on its own. With a little bit of time and persistence, the other was carefully pulled out by the rescue team.

Soon after this year’s presidential election, something peculiar fell from the sky and into a drainage ditch in Florida.

One witness said, “I saw two eagles fighting in the sky and they just dropped right into the drain, so I instantly pulled over.”

Dianna Flynt of the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey told the media that the eagles were presumably fighting over territory before getting trapped in the Orlando storm drain. One of the eagles was succeeded to free itself after the struggle of an hour. But, the second one was reportedly agitated and moved further into the drain. It was caught for almost 2 hours.

It is not known whether or not the eagles have been harmed. They will be taken into for medical examination. Once it is sure that they are in good health, they will be set free.

Some people say that the incident was nature’s way of protesting against a Trump presidency, others are doubtful to jump to judgments.

It’s nesting season for these birds, a time in which they’re most susceptible to human actions, so in any case, we’re happy that they were able to receive the help they required.
