Andrea Londo is known as a border child is proud of her unusual childhood. She was raised originally in Tijuana, Mexico, though she was born in the U.S. and crossed the border to join the school in San Diego, California, every day. Londo is raised by her Mexican culture and her kinship to her family, and she is fortified by her life in Los Angeles. From her childhood, Londo has felt a sense of duality.
She said, “Being Mexican-American, for me, is very exciting, because I believe like I grew up as a traveler between two nations, two cultures, and two distinct groups of people with totally distinct points of view and thinking. But I very deeply support my freedom to be 100% American, because I sense it, and I also sense 100% Mexican. And I support this because I am both, even though I’m never completely just one at a time.”
Londo has command on her bilingual and bicultural personality to achieve her dreams: Her acting career has prospered since she introduced to Los Angeles when she was 18. She is famous for performing Maria Salazar in the third season of the Netflix hit show, “Narcos,” and she’s currently busy in several other interesting projects, including starring in the film “Ice Cream in the Cupboard,” which launches this August.

For those who have had similar struggles, Londo gave some advice, “I would tell people growing up like me, as a border kid, that you do have an identity, and that it’s OK to feel like you don’t belong somewhere all the time.
Londo’s bizarre identity has been a fabulous chauffeur of her achievement, and she believes that she can support inspire others to adopt their identity.
“I want to inspire others to unapologetically who they are,” she said.
